Expansion of production (2021–2026)

Michael Uhl has served as sole Managing Director since 2021, marking his 20th anniversary with the company.

Between 2021 and 2024, we expanded our production halls—and consequently our manufacturing capacities—at both the Neu-Anspach (Germany) and Putim (Czech Republic) sites.
Environmental and climate protection are priorities for us!

In 2023–24, we installed photovoltaic systems at both locations and achieved DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 certification for the first time.

In 2023, we celebrated the 40th anniversary of Universal Hydraulik GmbH.

From 2025 to 2026, we are expanding production capacity for tube coolers by acquiring a TRUMPF laser cutting machine for in-house tube processing, enlarging the welding department, and setting up a new production line. We are hiring additional assembly technicians to support this growth.

At the same time, we are expanding our supplier base for the turned and milled parts that are vital to our operations.

As a family-owned business, we are well-equipped for the future!

From planning to commissioning

From planning to commissioning—turning an idea into a functional solution.

This project began several months ago with initial technical consultations and a requirements analysis at Blum-Novotest GmbH. The system has since been successfully commissioned on-site.

A key focus was placed on filtration and oil conditioning to meet the highest standards for process reliability and system availability.

Components used included:
⚙️ 4 Triumflex motor-pump units from Settima Meccanica srl
⚙️ Edge-gap filters and 4 duplex switchable filters (25 µm – 3 µm) from Filtration Group
⚙️ In-house manufactured intermediate tanks based on a jacketed pipe from the EKM Hybrid series

Projects like this demonstrate the importance of collaboration between development, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers. From the initial concept to commissioning, the result is a solution precisely tailored to the specific application.

Many thanks to Blum-Novotest GmbH and all the partners and teams involved for the trusting collaboration.

Expansion and Family Growth (2011–2020)

After establishing our own heat exchanger production facilities—first in the Czech Republic in 2001 for tube coolers, and then in Neu-Anspach in 2003 for oil-air coolers—we expanded operations in both countries (increasing production space and office facilities), and sales continued to grow significantly.

We also ventured into the US market, establishing a new "greenfield" production facility in Perrysburg, Ohio.

At the same time, we consistently expanded our heat exchanger product range.
During this period, Michael Uhl’s children (Clemens and Valentina) and the son of the second co-founder (Christian Rosiepen) joined the company, further developing the family business.

In 2020, company founder Ralf Uhl celebrated his 80th birthday and marked 60 years of experience in the hydraulics industry.

☀️ Perfect weather for a day on the water.

While passengers and crew enjoy the sunshine, the onboard technology works reliably in the background.

Hydraulic systems perform critical functions on ships—from steering gear and bow thrusters to stabilizers and controllable-pitch propellers. High-performance cooling solutions are essential to ensure these systems operate reliably under demanding conditions such as heat, saltwater exposure, and continuous use.

For over 25 years, we have been supplying heat exchangers for maritime applications worldwide—designed to be robust, efficient, and practical.

Our DNV Type Approval process (effective 2026) offers clear advantages for our customers: faster project execution, the elimination of individual drawing reviews, and internationally recognized marine certification.

Whether it’s seawater heat exchangers made of CuNi or titanium, hybrid coolers, or custom solutions, our systems are engineered to meet the most rigorous demands at sea.

Enjoy the good weather—we’ll take care of the technology behind it.

Municipal infrastructure functions only with reliable technology in the background.

Our colleague Matthias Pabst visited the Suisse Public trade fair in Bern on Wednesday. The event covered many topics currently relevant to cities, municipalities, and municipal utilities—ranging from vehicles, machinery, and infrastructure to technical solutions for daily operations.

We were particularly interested in the many applications where hydraulics play a key role. Whether it involves refuse trucks, street sweepers, or other municipal utility vehicles, many of these systems must operate reliably day in and day out.

This is precisely where the right cooling solution comes into play. With our LKM oil-air coolers, we help mobile hydraulic systems maintain high performance, even under demanding conditions.

Many thanks to Suisse Public and everyone we spoke with for the open dialogue and the insights gained on-site.
