1983 marks the beginning of our company history.

What began with an idea and an entrepreneurial initiative has evolved over the decades into an industrial company that has continuously developed and adapted to new technological and market demands.

Corporate development is not a single moment, but rather the result of many decisions, changes, and collaborative efforts.

In the coming weeks, we will offer insights into selected milestones in our development. This will not be a complete chronicle, but rather a look at defining moments in our company's history.

HANNOVER MESSE 2026 – Exchange that moves the industry

The Hannover Messe has begun, once again bringing together the international industry in Hanover.

Even though we won't be exhibiting in 2026, we are closely following the developments, topics, and trends at the fair. Many of the trends discussed there—from digitalization and energy efficiency to new manufacturing technologies—directly shape our daily work in mechanical engineering and hydraulics.

Universal Hydraulik last exhibited at the fair in 2025 and made extensive use of the event for personal interaction with customers, partners, and industry professionals. These direct conversations remain a key component of our sales and innovation efforts.

At the same time, it's clear that industrial sales are evolving. Alongside traditional trade fair formats, continuous exchange, digital channels, and targeted customer outreach are gaining increasing importance.

Leading trade fairs remain a crucial element—however, their effectiveness depends heavily on how strategically they are integrated into overall sales strategies.

For us, one thing is clear: the combination of personal interaction, digital formats, and long-term customer relationships is what makes modern industrial communication successful.

We wish all exhibitors and visitors a successful trade fair week in Hanover with exciting discussions and new impulses for the industry of tomorrow.

Over 20,000 heat exchangers per year

Over 20,000 heat exchangers per year, and every single one must be absolutely leak-proof!

In the production of our ShellTubi shell and tube heat exchangers, every detail counts. Even the smallest leaks can have major consequences during later operation, which is why we rely on consistent quality controls throughout the entire manufacturing process.

Every single ShellTubi heat exchanger is inspected 4 times during production. Our production and quality teams work with the utmost precision and experience, with only one goal: maximum operational reliability for our customers. Because for us, quality isn't created at the end of production; it's created in every single process step.

Rely on proven quality and reliable cooling technology with ShellTubi. Heat exchangers from Universal Hydraulik.

The Tube in Düsseldorf

Tube in Düsseldorf is the central meeting place for the international pipe industry, and that's exactly where Clemens Uhl was representing Universal Hydraulik GmbH.

Together with our long-standing partner transfluid Maschinenbau GmbH and Mr. Baldauf, the focus was on personal exchange, new developments, and technological trends.

Tube brings together over 1,200 exhibitors from 54 countries and covers the entire value chain, from raw materials to finished systems.

Especially in the area of heat exchangers and pipe systems, precise manufacturing, material quality, and innovative forming technology are crucial.

Direct exchange with partners like transfluid Maschinenbau GmbH provides important impetus for our own solutions in hydraulic and cooling technology.

Because progress doesn't happen in isolation, but through strong partnerships and continuous dialogue along the entire process chain.

Many thanks to Mr. Sharif Osseiran-Bludau and the team at transfluid Maschinenbau GmbH for the productive discussions and valuable exchange at the trade fair.

We look forward to future joint projects.

Which material is the best choice?

Which material is the best choice for water pipes in heat exchangers – stainless steel, titanium, or CuNi?

Choosing the right pipe material significantly influences the corrosion resistance, service life, and cost-effectiveness of a heat exchanger. Especially in demanding applications, the pipes must operate reliably over the long term.

An overview:

- Stainless steel: Offers an excellent combination of corrosion resistance, stability, and cost-effectiveness in many industrial applications.

- Titanium: Impresses with its extremely high corrosion resistance; particularly suitable for aggressive media or seawater.

- CuNi (copper-nickel): Traditionally used in marine applications; requires specific material properties and operating conditions.

By selecting the right material, you can sustainably optimize the service life, efficiency, and operational reliability of your heat exchanger.

The right material choice determines the performance of your heat exchanger.

We support you in finding the optimal solution for your application.

Industry meets innovation

GLOBAL INDUSTRIE Paris 2026 is one of the most important meeting places for European industry, and it was our first visit to this leading trade fair.

Our colleague Sebastian Schupp from Heat Exchanger Sales was there to network with manufacturers, technology partners, and industrial customers.

With 14 themed zones, the trade fair unites almost the entire industrial value chain, from manufacturing technologies and components to complete system solutions.

Attending such leading international trade fairs is crucial for us.

Only through direct exchange with industry experts, machine builders, and plant operators can new impetus for innovative cooling and heat exchanger solutions in industry be generated.

Global Industrie is therefore not just a trade fair, but a meeting place for everyone who shapes industry:
for developers, manufacturers, producers, and system providers.

We look forward to many new contacts, exciting discussions, and technological insights from Paris, and to incorporating these findings into future solutions for our customers.
